Apparama is a family of simple web tools that each do one thing, and try to do it beautifully.

The story

Hello, I'm John. I'm an award-winning graphic designer, and I spent 20+ years designing magazines, books, newspapers and websites before I started building tools of my own.

Apparama began with a simple frustration: try to roll a die or flip a coin online and you're met with adverts, pop-ups and clutter. I wanted the opposite — tools that open instantly on your phone, look good, respect your privacy and get out of the way.

Every Apparama tool is designed and created by me, here in London. More are on the way.

Accessibility

I want every Apparama tool to work for everyone. The tools are built to be usable by keyboard and screen reader, with visible focus states, clearly labelled controls, readable contrast in both light and dark themes, and layouts that work at any screen size.

If something doesn't work well for you, please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it.
